Tolujin The plaintive, close-miked classical guitar against the washes of electronic ambience in these recordings gives a fine sense of a lone fragile figure against massive looming landscapes. Beautiful work from the endlessly talented Aaron Edge. Favorite track: Dispelling Belief.

Aaron D.C Edge, of Hellvetika, began suffering through his first ms-related pain in the fall of 2012. This is one of the last four recordings of his classical and electric guitar material before the disease took over, limiting his instrumentation and full use of his hands.

His long-time friend, Brenton Salo, entered the studio to add his own layers to the recording later in 2013. Aaron then revisited the project, added midi instruments, noise and texture.

What you are hearing is two human beings describing Montana, a beautiful open and never-ending space: Brenton's actual/physical trip to the mountains (to photograph the majesty) and Aaron's personal daydream of living some other, quieter life with less turmoil.
